Meghan Markle’s Archetypes Podcast Ends Amid Rumors of Faked Interviews

The podcast world was abuzz with rumors about Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast, which was recently canceled by Spotify after just 12 episodes.

According to unnamed sources from Pod News, the Duchess allegedly relied heavily on members of her staff to fake interviews and edit in questions after the fact.

However, a former employee has now come forward to defend Meghan and set the record straight.

Former Gimlet staffer Andy Scott took to Twitter to weigh in on the rumors, stating that Meghan conducted the whole interview by herself and that her voice was not edited into the interviews.

Scott’s tweets put to rest any remaining suspicions about the authenticity of the podcast.

Despite this, the allegations of faked interviews have cast a shadow over the Archetypes podcast.

No specific examples were given, but multiple sources confirmed the recording style used by the podcast, which allegedly involved other staffers conducting interviews and editing in questions from Meghan afterward.

One journalist, Allison Yarrow, who was interviewed for the podcast, revealed that it was actually a member of Meghan’s team who conducted the interview, not Meghan herself.

While the podcast did feature high-profile interviewees such as Serena Williams, its authenticity has been called into question.

Spotify, which had signed a £15 million deal with Meghan and Prince Harry, announced that they were ending their connection with the Duke and Duchess after only 12 episodes of the podcast.

A statement from both Orangeville and Spotify said they were proud of the series they made together, but they would not continue.

The cancellation of the Archetypes podcast has also drawn criticism from Spotify big shot Bill Simmons, who slammed the couple as “grifters” in an episode of his own podcast.

The Daily Star previously reported on Simmons’ harsh words, as he was not pleased with the couple’s decision to announce that the podcast would not be running for a second season.

While Meghan’s former employee has defended her, the allegations of faked interviews and reliance on staff have left a stain on the Archetypes podcast.

The cancellation of the podcast after only 12 episodes has also raised questions about the future of Meghan and Prince Harry’s media ventures.

However, the couple has not yet commented on the matter.
