King Charles ‘masking a smile’ at Royal Ascot as expert says he ‘doesn’t want to be there’

The first day of Royal Ascot has begun, and the King of England, Charles, attended with his wife, Queen Camilla.

However, a body language expert has claimed that the monarch was “masking a smile” and likely did not want to be there.

The Palace has yet to announce whether they will attend any other days of the event.

The expert, speaking on behalf of BonusCodeBets, explained that the King’s smile was likely a “masking smile”, used to show some form of enjoyment.

It is often used to avoid seeming ungrateful or rude, even when we are not feeling great.

Moreover, the King could be finding recent events daunting, particularly as they are some of the firsts without the late Queen.

The expert added that all the events this year will be without the Queen being front and center, which might be overwhelming for the King, even though he has been preparing for decades.

This could explain why he was masking his smile during the first day of Royal Ascot.

While the King may not be as keen on horse racing as his late mother was, it is still an obligation for him as the monarch to attend these events.

Therefore, his presence at Royal Ascot was necessary, whether he wanted to be there or not.

Body language experts have noted that the facial expressions of public figures can often reveal their true feelings, even when they try to hide them.

In this case, the King’s facial expression seems to indicate that he was not entirely comfortable at the event.

It is not uncommon for members of the royal family to put on a brave face for the public, especially during difficult times.
