Jennifer Lawrence says n*de photo leak ‘trauma will exist forever’

Jennifer Lawrence has stated that the pain of having n-ked photographs of herself published on the internet “will exist forever”.

In 2014, the 31-year-old was one of a series of high-profile people, mostly women, whose typically private images were stolen on the internet by cyberhackers.

More than 100 celebrities, including Lawrence, were targeted via their iCloud accounts, with photographs initially shared on the anonymous chat platform AnonIB, then reposted on 4Chan.

“Anybody can go look at my n-ked body without my consent, at any time of day,” she told Vanity Fair.

“Somebody in France just published them.

“My trauma will exist forever.”

“I feel like I got gang-banged by the f***ing planet – like, there’s not one person in the world that is not capable of seeing these intimate photos of me,” Lawrence remarked in 2017, reflecting on the experience.

“You can just be at a barbecue and somebody can just pull them up on their phone. That was a really impossible thing to process.”

Lawrence, who is expecting her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, has stated that she want to keep her personal life private.

“Every instinct in my body wants to protect their privacy for the rest of their lives, as much as I can,” the 31-year-old actress stated. “I don’t want anyone to feel welcome into their existence.”

“And I feel like that just starts with not including them in this part of my work.”

She also talked about her imminent comeback to the big screen in Don’t Look Up, a satirical comedy.

Her and Leonardo DiCaprio portray scientists on a media tour to warn about an oncoming comet that would destroy the earth in the film, which will be released next month.

The Hunger Games actress also stated that she was lucky to escape any awkward interactions with Harvey Weinstein, a former Hollywood producer and convicted rapist.

However, she stated that she has encountered inappropriate behavior from men in the field.

“Harvey’s victims were women that believed that he was going to help them,” she explained.

“Fortunately, by the time I had even come across Harvey in my career, I was about to win an Academy Award. I was getting The Hunger Games. So I avoided that specific situation.

“Of course, I’m a woman in the professional world. So it’s not like I’ve gone my entire career with men being appropriate.

“But, yeah, that’s a perfect example of where getting power quickly did save me.”
