Before they were a couple, Ryan Reynolds admits to “begging” his wife Blake Lively to sleep with him.

Reynolds was a guest on Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett’s podcast “SmartLess.” He told them about his initial move on the “The Shallows” actress.

Ryan – who was previously married to Scarlett Johansson — told the story of how he met the Gossip Girl star on a movie shoot.

Reynolds was quoted by People as stating, “I met Blake on the darkest crease in the anus of the universe called ‘Green Lantern.’ We were friends and buddies and about a year and a half later we went on a double date but we were dating separate people.”

“We hung out and kind of, you know, we always kind of kept in touch but sort of casually. And then next thing you know, she was going to Boston. I was going to Boston. So I was like, ‘I’ll ride with you.’ We got on the train and rode together and then I was just begging her to sleep with me.”

Reynolds recalls things moving rapidly after that trip, telling the hosts it was like something “out of a fairytale.”

“A week later I was like, ‘We should buy a house together,'” he remembered. “And we did.”

Reynolds and Lively married on September 9, 2012, in South Carolina.

The happy couple went on to have three daughters, James, six, Inez, four, and Betty, 21 months, and are worth £73 million owing to their movie careers and the actor’s Aviation gin business.

After receiving their COVID-19 vaccination shots in April, the pair made fun of each other on social media.
