Why people hate Gwyneth Paltrow

Gwyneth Paltrow appears to be the epitome of success. Her acting abilities have garnered her roles in major films such as Shallow Hal and the Iron Man franchise from Marvel. Her immaculate beauty earned her the title of “Most Beautiful Woman” in People magazine. She is wealthy, well-known, and looks to be always happy.

Unfortunately for Paltrow, she was recently given an ugly moniker: the Most Hated Woman in the World, according to a tabloid magazine. Why do so many people hate Gwyneth Paltrow?

Her most recent projects include attempting to become a lifestyle guru, creating cookbooks, and running the Goop website. The recipes are claimed to be harmful, consisting of very little quantities of nearly nothing. “Raw almonds, raw honey, an arugula garnish, maybe a mushroom on a feast day,” a journalist at The Guardian sarcastically observed.

Paltrow regularly offers “must-have-outfits” on Goop, which can cost hundreds (or thousands) of dollars. This is not something that the typical person can buy, but Paltrow presents it in such a way that it appears that everyone can afford such luxury.

Not only is Gwyneth Paltrow flaunting her wealth, but many people believe she is out of touch with the average person… And attempting to be a “lifestyle guru” when so out of touch is doomed to fail.

Gwyneth Paltrow has a reputation for being full of herself. She once claimed to have the “butt of a 22-year-old stripper” with a serious face. But that isn’t even the most absurd assertion made by the extraordinarily fit star.

“It’s so much easier to sit at home and not exercise and criticize other people,” she said in an interview with Elle magazine. “What I love is inspiring people. People come up to me and say, ‘I want to have two kids and wear a bathing suit and not feel terrible about myself. I see how hard you work and it makes me feel like I can do that too.’”

Despite Paltrow’s denials, many believe she fueled her acting career with her family’s money. Her father was a television producer, and her mother was an actress, and the two had amassed quite a lot between them.

What I love is inspiring people. People come up to me and say, ‘I want to have two kids and wear a bathing suit and not feel terrible about myself. I see how hard you work and it makes me feel like I can do that too.’” Some folks aren’t convinced.

Gwyneth Paltrow is Named Most Hated Celebrity: This is her reaction

Gwyneth Paltrow can’t believe Chris Brown is more loved than her.

The actress was named the “Most Hated Celebrity” by Star magazine, beating out Kristen Stewart (No. 2), John Mayer (No. 4), Madonna (No. 7), Justin Bieber (No. 8), Anne Hathaway (No. 9), Lindsay Lohan (No. 16), Chris Brown (No. 20) and other celebrities just weeks after People magazine featured her on the cover of its annual “World’s Most Beautiful” issue. Paltrow expressed her confusion about the title to Stephen Sackur, host of BBC News’ Hard Talk, at Cannes Lion. “First of all, I was like, ‘I’m the most hated celebrity? More than, like, Chris Brown?'” she inquired. “What did I do?”

During the conversation, Paltrow defended herself by saying, “All I can do is be my authentic self. If you know me, then you know who I am and that I have fun and eat and am so appreciative for my life. But I think there are things about me that make people draw conclusions.”

The mother of two is well aware that her upbringing can irritate some people. (Paltrow is the daughter of Blythe Danner, an actress, and Bruce Paltrow, a late film director.) She did, however, tell Sackur that she worked hard to get to where she is now.

“For example, there is the perception that I grew up very wealthy and that I was given, you know, that I was sort of raised with a silver spoon in my mouth, which inspires a lot of resentment.”

“My parents did well, and I was able to go to a fantastic school, and we grew up in New York City, but the minute I left my college to try to pursue acting, my father [the late producer Bruce Paltrow] was really supportive. But he said, you know, ‘You are completely on your own.’ So, he never gave me anything. I never had any supplementation, he never helped me with my rent, I never had a trust fund,” Gwyneth claimed. “So the idea that I am spoiled or that I didn’t work for what I have is just not accurate, but I can see how somebody might have that perception.”

Also, the Academy Award-winning actress has never met a fry she didn’t enjoy.

“People tend to think that I eat just seaweed and a bit of air. I have never had a horrible experience with French fries. French fries are my life!”

Despite their divorce, she retains a close friendship with ex-husband Chris Martin, with whom she maintained a tight friendship after they announced their split in 2014.

Paltrow also talked about the vitriol she received after her now-famous “conscious uncoupling” with ex-husband Chris in 2014, saying she had no idea it would “inspire so much conversation.”

“It’s funny, because at the inception, everyone was like, ‘What the hell is this? These people are crazy!’ And that’s true,” she said with a laugh. “Over time, now what I hear is, ‘Thank you so much for showing me another way that you can remain a family — even though you’re not a couple — and make it a less traumatic experience for the kids.'”

“I think ultimately it’s had a very positive impact,” she continued.
