Actress Ana de Armas has expressed concern about the potential for her nud* scenes in the upcoming Netflix film “Blonde” to be shared online.

In an interview with Variety, de Armas said, “I know what’s going to go viral, and it’s disgusting.”

She added that although she can’t control how the clips will be shared or taken out of context, the thought of it is “upsetting.”

“Blonde” is based on the 2000 novel by Joyce Carol Oates that gives a fictionalized account of Marilyn Monroe’s life, with de Armas playing the lead role.

The film contains numerous scenes featuring de Armas topless and, in some instances, completely nud*.

It has been given an NC-17 rating, marking the first time a Netflix original has received this rating.

The rating is primarily due to the depiction of Monroe’s sexual encounters, including a scene in which she is forced to perform oral sex on President John F. Kennedy.

When asked about the sexual nature of the film, de Armas said, “We’re telling her story from her point of view. I’m making people feel what she felt.”

“When we had to shoot these kinds of scenes, like the one with Kennedy, it was difficult for everybody.

“But at the same time, I knew I had to go there to find the truth.”

Despite her concerns about the potential for the film’s explicit content to be shared online, de Armas stated that this knowledge did not give her “second thoughts” about taking on the role.

She explained, “It just gave me a bad taste to think about the future of those clips.”

In the interview with Variety, de Armas also discussed the challenges of portraying such a well-known figure as Marilyn Monroe.

“She’s an icon,” de Armas said. “It’s a responsibility to portray her in the best way possible.”

She added that she worked closely with the film’s director to fully understand Monroe’s mindset and emotions during the time period depicted in the film.
