Salma Hayek explains why she’s getting more beautiful with age

Actress Salma Hayek recently sat down with Jada Pinkett Smith, Willow Smith, and Adrienne Banfield-Norris on the talk show “Red Table Talk” to discuss a variety of topics including aging, marriage, and parenting.

During the conversation, Hayek touched on her new film “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard,” in which she plays a woman going through menopause while performing action scenes.

Hayek explained that she was excited to take on the role because she felt it would be “hilarious” to show a woman in her 50s doing these types of scenes while her body is undergoing changes.

“We had to convince some people,” she revealed. “What matters is we go through it… there’s a very important message behind [the movie].”

“There’s no expiration date for women. You can kick a– at any age, you hold your own at any age, you can dream at any age.”

Hayek also revealed that she has been experiencing symptoms of menopause for some time now, one of which is that her breasts have grown significantly.

This has led to some speculation about whether or not she has had breast augmentation surgery, but Hayek stated that her breasts have simply grown naturally and that her back is now suffering as a result.

When discussing the topic of aging, Hayek shared that as she has grown older, she has found that she feels things more deeply.

She believes that as women become stronger, they are able to let themselves be more sensitive and open to their emotions.

“As you grow older you feel things deeper,” she said. “We let ourselves be more sensitive because we don’t feel as threatened.”

“As you get stronger, I think you get the luxury of letting yourself feel everything.”

Hayek also opened up about her marriage to her husband François-Henri Pinault, whom she married in 2009.

She stated that the couple has never said anything nasty to each other and that instead of arguing, they focus on finding solutions to problems.

Hayek also discussed the challenges of parenting her 13-year-old daughter Valentina.

She shared that she has been learning to step back and allow her daughter to be who she is, but that it is not always easy.

Hayek believes that empowering children also means understanding boundaries.
