Charlie Sheen almost homeless after blowing $150m fortune
The once high-flying, #winning Charlie Sheen, known for his wild lifestyle, narrowly avoided homelessness.
The former Two and a Half Men star reportedly owes over $86,000 in mortgage payments for his luxurious Beverly Hills residence.
The lender has initiated pre-foreclosure proceedings on the seven-bedroom, seven-bathroom mansion.
Sheen penned a check on January 10th to address the overdue payments, and has been attempting to sell the $8.5 million property for months.
So, how did the actor, who was once worth $150 million, find himself in such a precarious situation?

At one time, Charlie Sheen was TV’s highest-paid actor, earning $1.8 million per episode for Two and a Half Men.
However, his drug-fueled escapades, alcohol abuse, associations with prostitutes, and social media outbursts led to his termination from the lucrative role in 2011 after a legendary meltdown.
The studio officially cited a contract default as the reason for his dismissal, specifically his inability to fulfill his duties on the show, admitting to cocaine use, making derogatory public remarks about the series, and demanding “radical changes” before continuing his work.
Following his firing, Sheen told TMZ:
“This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc – again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”
Around the same time, Sheen made appearances on Good Morning America, Today, and Piers Morgan Tonight, sharing peculiar statements such as:
“The last time I took drugs, I probably took more than anyone could survive” and “I was banging seven-gram rocks and finishing them. That’s how I roll.”
Sheen’s personal life has also been costly. Until September 2016, he was paying $110,000 monthly to two ex-wives.
After suing to reduce the payments due to financial difficulties, a judge reduced his spousal support to $25,000 per ex-wife.
He still provides $500,000 annually for his children’s support.
Sheen claimed in court filings that he had $12 million in debt, mostly from mortgages, and that his monthly income had dropped from a peak of $600,000 to around $167,000.
His monthly medical expenses amount to $25,000.
Additionally, Sheen has a lengthy history of hiring prostitutes. Rumored to be one of Heidi Fleiss’ top clients, he spent $1,629,507 on sex workers in a year.
