Australian actress Rebel Wilson has stated that she is willing to appear in a film without any clothing for the right role.

The 36-year-old actress had used a body double for Sacha Baron Cohen’s movie “The Brothers Grimsby” and had specifically written in her contract that there would be no nudity.

They then used another actress for the scene that they wanted full-frontal nudity for. Rebel Wilson refused to do it, saying that she “didn’t care what you say.”

However, she suggested she would be willing to star in a nude scene for a more serious movie.

“You want to know that the people [behind the camera] have a certain sensibility and decency. And a lot of times in comedy, they’re not those people,” she said in an interview with Marie Claire magazine.

She further explained that she wanted to ensure that the people behind the camera were trustworthy and respectful before making any commitments regarding nude scenes.

Rebel Wilson was quite shy as a child and her mother took her to acting classes as a way of overcoming her shyness.

Rebel stated, “I was so unusually shy, bordering on a social disorder. So my mum – one day she drives me to this community acting class.

“I was holding on to the car door and crying.

“She had to peel me off the car. She’s like, ‘I’ll pick you up in two hours,’ And she left me.”

Despite her past struggles, Rebel Wilson has come a long way in her acting career. Earlier this week, it was announced that Rebel is set to make her West End debut in “Guys and Dolls”.

She will join the London production as Miss Adelaide for an eight-week stint over the summer. Rebel revealed that she felt “honored” to be offered the role.
