“You do karate, you have a black belt, you got yourself into Harvard, and you’re a voting rights advocate!” she said, to which Shahidi replied, “I mean, look at who I’m sitting across from! What are you talking about?”

Barrymore couldn’t resist making a joke at her own expense, however, saying, “The woman who brought her dogs who tried to [beep] each other on stage? I’m not feeling too good about myself right now!”

The incident serves as a reminder that even the most well-behaved pets can sometimes be unpredictable, especially in new and unfamiliar environments.
