John Owen, son of actor Rob Lowe, recently shared in an interview with Men’s Health how he discovered that his father had a s^x tape.

According to John, a classmate in middle school or high school told him about it, and he was shocked.

He said that his father and mother never talked to him or his older brother Matthew about the tape.

The tape was filmed during the 1988 Democratic National Convention and leaked to the press in 1989 when Rob was 24 years old.

The tape featured Rob having a threesome with two women, one of whom was 16 years old.

The girl’s mother sued Rob, claiming that he had taken advantage of her daughter.

Although Rob denied knowing that the girl was underage, he settled the lawsuit with her family out of court.

John likened the discovery of the s^x tape to finding out that Santa Claus is not real.

He said, “There weren’t milestone markers, like, ‘OK, he’s 16 now, time for them to learn about this part of our life!'” Rob joked that “Wikipedia and Google took care of that for us.”

Rob rose to fame in the 1980s and coped with his overnight success by drinking heavily and partying.

The s^x tape scandal pushed him to rock bottom, and he entered rehab for drug and alcohol dependency in 1990, at the age of 25.

In a 2019 interview on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show, Rob said that the s^x tape experience was the best thing that ever happened to him because it led to his sobriety.

He explained, “Sober got me married.

I’ve been married 29 years and I have two great sons, so I don’t think any of that happens without going through that scandal.”

Rob also joked that he “invented” the s^x tape but lamented that he “didn’t make any money off of it like everybody does now.”

Rob and John have acted together in several productions, including the sitcom The Grinder and the romance movie Holiday in the Wild.

They will appear together again in the upcoming series Unstable, about an eccentric biotech genius who needs the support of his estranged son to save the family business.

During the interview, Rob acknowledged that his success at a young age had contributed to his addiction problems.

He said, “It’s not a great recipe for success to give an 18-year-old male fame, money, drugs, and expect there not to be something that goes wrong.”

However, he also expressed gratitude for the lessons he had learned through his struggles.

John, who has followed his father into acting, spoke fondly of their shared experiences on set.

He said, “I got to see a really cool, professional side of him that was so different from just being his son.”

The Lowe family has faced their fair share of challenges over the years.

In 2008, John was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

He underwent chemotherapy and has since been in remission.

Rob said that his son’s battle with cancer was “a terrifying experience,” but he was grateful for the support of his family and friends.

Rob and his wife Sheryl Berkoff, a jewelry designer, have been married for 29 years.

They first met on the set of the movie “Bad Influence,” which Sheryl was working on as a makeup artist.

They started dating shortly after the movie wrapped and have been together ever since.

In the Men’s Health interview, John also talked about his own struggles with anxiety and depression.

He said that he had been dealing with these issues for years but had only recently started talking about them publicly. He credited his father’s openness about his addiction problems with inspiring him to be more candid about his mental health.

Rob and John are not the only father-son duo in Hollywood to share a love of acting. Other famous pairs include Kirk and Michael Douglas, Martin and Charlie Sheen, and Will and Jaden Smith.

However, Rob has said that he never pushed John to become an actor. He said, “I never wanted him to feel like he had to do what I did.”

Despite his father’s caution, John has carved out his own successful acting career.

In addition to his work with his father, he has appeared in several other TV shows and movies, including “Super Troopers 2” and “The Lowe Files,” a reality show that aired on A&E in 2017.

As for Rob, he shows no signs of slowing down.

In addition to his acting work, he has also tried his hand at producing and directing.

He recently directed an episode of the TV series “9-1-1: Lone Star” and has several other projects in the works.

Despite the challenges and scandals he has faced over the years, Rob seems to be at peace with his life.

He said, “I’m just really happy that I’ve got a great family, and I’ve been able to have a career in show business that has lasted a long time.”
