Elvis Presley refused to date Marilyn Monroe because of this trait

Elvis Presley, the King of Rock and Roll, reportedly turned down the opportunity to date Marilyn Monroe due to one of her physical traits.

According to reports, the two icons met at Paramount Studios in June 1960 and their encounter lasted only a few minutes.

However, management agent Byron Raphael allegedly arranged for them to have a secret rendezvous behind closed doors.

Two weeks later, Elvis called Raphael and asked him to pick up Marilyn.

The three of them went to the Beverly Wilshire Hotel, and when Elvis saw Marilyn, they started kissing without saying a word.

Byron, who was present at the time, described the scene as shocking and did not know what to do.

He said, “After two minutes, they went into the bedroom, and I didn’t know if I was supposed to leave or stay and wait for them, so I sort of just dozed off.” When he woke up, he saw that both Elvis and Marilyn had walked out of the bedroom stark n^ked, and he did not say a word.

However, when Byron later spoke with Elvis about dating Marilyn, the King of Rock and Roll was not interested.

According to Byron, Elvis said, “She’s a nice gal, but a little tall for me.”

It is believed that Marilyn’s height may have been the reason why Elvis turned down the opportunity to date her.

The American actress was around 5ft 5 inches tall, which is around average height for a woman in her 30s.

Elvis, on the other hand, was around 5ft 9 inches tall, meaning he towered over her with room to spare.

This height difference may have been the reason why Elvis preferred women who were a little shorter than Marilyn.

In fact, the woman Elvis eventually married, Priscilla Presley, was approximately 5ft 3 inches tall when they got married.

Although the story of Elvis and Marilyn’s secret rendezvous is titillating, some of Elvis’s closest friends denied that it ever happened.

Joe Esposito, a member of Elvis’s entourage, the Memphis Mafia, said that they only met once at Paramount Studios in June 1960.

He described their encounter as a “small, nice little conversation” that lasted only about three minutes.

Despite the conflicting reports, Elvis and Marilyn remain two of the most iconic figures in American history.

Elvis is widely regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century, while Marilyn is remembered as a talented actress and a s^x symbol of her time.

Their alleged affair, whether true or not, has become a part of their legacy and continues to fascinate fans and historians alike.
