13 women say Gérard Depardieu s**ually abused them

Gérard Depardieu, a well-known French actor, is facing fresh allegations of “s^xual abuse” from 13 women who have accused him of “s^xually inappropriate gestures or proposals”.

Depardieu, who has already been accused of raping French actress Charlotte Arnould, is one of the most prolific stars in French cinema.

Arnould, in her mid-twenties, accused the actor of raping her at his home in Paris two years ago.

Depardieu strongly denied the allegations, stating that he “formally denies all the charges likely to fall under criminal law”.

The accusations against Depardieu were first reported by the French outlet Médiapart.

According to the report, “across the different accounts, the same scene seemed to repeat itself.

They are actresses, make-up artists, and crew members.

They attest to have been subjected to a hand on their b*ttock, between the legs, or on their thighs or stomach – as well as obscene s^xual propositions and sometimes insistent groaning”.

It was also claimed that such incidents were “laughed off” and not taken seriously.

The 13 new complaints are not currently filed as legal complaints, but Arnould’s case continues to make its way through courts in France.

Depardieu, who is 74 years old, has been accused of preying on his victims on multiple productions, including the popular Netflix drama, Marseille.

There is CCTV footage of Depardieu engaging in s^xual activity with Charlotte from August 2018, but he insists this was consensual.

Depardieu’s spokesperson said, “He formally denies all the charges likely to fall under criminal law”.

Last year, Depardieu’s legal team attempted to have his rape charges dismissed, but this was overruled after judges agreed there is compelling evidence he had attacked the actress.

The new accusations against Depardieu come at a time when there is growing awareness of s^xual harassment and abuse in the entertainment industry.

Many women have come forward with allegations of s^xual misconduct against high-profile figures, including film producer Harvey Weinstein and actor Kevin Spacey.

The allegations against Depardieu have caused outrage in France, with many calling for him to be held accountable for his actions.

The French government has been criticized for its handling of s^xual abuse cases in the past, with some accusing it of being too lenient on perpetrators.

Depardieu, who is known for his roles in films such as Cyrano de Bergerac and Green Card, has been a prominent figure in French cinema for many years.

He has won numerous awards for his work, including a César Award for Best Actor in 1991.

The allegations against Depardieu have prompted a wider discussion about the treatment of women in the entertainment industry.

Many have called for more to be done to protect women from s^xual harassment and abuse, and for those who perpetrate such acts to be held accountable for their actions.

Depardieu has not yet responded to the latest allegations against him.

The French government has said that it is taking the accusations seriously and that it will work to ensure that justice is done for all those affected by s^xual abuse and harassment.

The case continues to be closely watched by both the media and the public, with many hoping that it will lead to meaningful change in the entertainment industry and beyond.
