Sam Smith slammed for overs*xualized, satanic show

Sam Smith has received criticism from social media users for their devil-themed and sexualized performance during the Gloria tour.

The British singer faced backlash for their outfits that included red devil horns, sheer veils, wire crowns, a black bustier, fishnet tights, over-the-knee boots, a pink ruffled tulle gown, a white shirt, a black tie, and even black underwear with nipple tassels.

Many social media users found the performance to be vulgar and satanic, with some even stating that they can never take their kids to a Sam Smith concert.

One user on Twitter said, “This whole performance is satanic!” while another stated, “Yeah I wouldn’t be taking my kid to a Sam Smith concert, it should be age-appropriate, like 18 or something.”

Other users echoed similar sentiments, with one saying, “This is vulgar and satanic,” and another mentioning, “He’s taking entertainment to extreme levels!

Trending:

When you have the voice, I don’t understand the need to sexualize a performance like that.”

The singer’s back-up dancers also wore glittering silver ensembles to keep up with the theme, and clips of the performance quickly surfaced on the internet, which many found to be overs*xualized.

Sam Smith has been facing backlash for wearing raunchy clothes during their stage performances, with some finding them inappropriate for their not age-restricted tour.

One Twitter user stated, “I don’t think the outfits were appropriate for a tour not advertised as age-appropriate. When you have the voice, I don’t understand the need to s*xualise a performance like that.”

Despite the backlash, the singer has been unapologetic about their fashion choices and performances.

Some users on social media, however, defended the singer, stating that there is nothing wrong with expressing oneself creatively.

The criticism comes months after Sam Smith’s controversial Grammy performance.

The singer previously faced backlash for their rendition of “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” while wearing a floor-length gown and a pair of platform heels.

Fans have been vocal about their opinions on the singer’s latest performance, with some calling it “disturbing” and “revolting.”

Others defended the singer, stating that they should be allowed to express themselves creatively.

Sam Smith has not responded to the criticism and has continued their tour.

Fans and critics alike will have to wait and see what the singer has in store for future performances.
