Did Jennifer Aniston sleep with David Schwimmer?
Jennifer Aniston has finally addressed long-standing rumors that she and David Schwimmer had a romantic relationship while working on the hit sitcom Friends.
Speaking on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Aniston stated, “I would proudly say I banged Schwimmer if that happened, but no. We were in relationships, and it was always never the right time. It wouldn’t have worked.”
The actress went on to explain that the chemistry between her and Schwimmer was channeled into their on-screen characters, Ross and Rachel.
Aniston said, “The beauty of that was that whatever feelings we had we just literally channeled everything into Ross and Rachel. I think that’s maybe why it resonated the way it did.”
She also emphasized that she and Schwimmer never slept together, saying, “We never [did], on my life. And [Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow] would know [if we did] because they would’ve heard about it. They can vouch for me.”

This isn’t the first time Aniston and Schwimmer have discussed their feelings for each other.
During the Friends reunion on HBO Max, the two actors revealed that they had a huge crush on each other while filming the show.
“The first season, I had a major crush on Jen,” Schwimmer said. Aniston confirmed that the feelings were mutual, stating, “It was reciprocated.”
Despite their mutual attraction, the two never pursued a relationship, as one of them was always in a relationship with someone else.
Schwimmer explained, “At some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing [in the night], because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary. We respected that.”
Their co-stars, Matthew Perry and Courteney Cox, who played Chandler and Monica, respectively, also confirmed that they were aware of Aniston and Schwimmer’s crush on each other.
Cox even remarked that it was for the best that they never pursued a relationship, saying, “How great, though, ultimately, because if you had and it didn’t work out it would have probably not been as great.”
The Friends reunion also saw the cast reminiscing about the show’s success and revealing behind-the-scenes stories.
