Michael Landon, who played Charles Ingalls in the television drama Little House on the Prairie, had an eccentricity on the show’s set where he did not wear underwear while in costume.

Alison Arngrim, who played Nellie Olsen in the drama, revealed the actor’s unusual habit in her memoir Confessions of a Prairie B*tch.

She also mentioned that Landon enjoyed parading around the set and showing off his physique.

Arngrim described Landon as a “male version of a Farrah Fawcett poster” and noted that he was “gorgeous, absolutely breathtaking; all muscles and tanned skin, big white teeth, and a wild mane of shining, curly hair.”

Landon’s outfit on the show included suspenders, a wide-brimmed hat, and tight pants, which were the “tightest pants you ever saw,” according to Arngrim.

However, the lack of underwear was quite noticeable and shocked the cast.

Arngrim wrote that it was common in the 1970s for Hollywood actors to wear tight jeans without underwear.

Still, Landon’s wardrobe choice was unusual given that the show was set in the 1800s.

She wondered, “what on earth was he thinking?”

Arngrim noted that Landon’s choice of attire was not by chance since the show’s primary audience was women aged 40 and above.

She added, “Michael knew exactly what they liked.” He wanted to attract the audience’s attention, so he kept his pants tight, didn’t wear underwear, and kept his shirt off to show his perfectly tanned and hairless chest, with suspenders crossing right next to each n^pp|e.

In her memoir, Arngrim also recounted Katherine MacGregor’s reaction to Landon’s presence on the set.

MacGregor played her television mother, and Arngrim remembers her saying that she disliked Landon on sight when he strutted into the room during her audition.

MacGregor said he walked “like a baby bantam rooster!” Arngrim noted that Landon’s aura annoyed some people in the cast.

Arngrim’s memoir also described the show’s behind-the-scenes dynamics and cast members’ relationships.

She wrote that she had a great relationship with Landon and that he was protective of her.

She had a less pleasant relationship with MacGregor, whom she described as more like her t.v. mother than a friend.

She also mentioned how Melissa Gilbert, who played Laura Ingalls, was like a little sister to her.

In an interview with Fox News in 2009, Arngrim talked about Landon’s sense of humor and how he would play pranks on the cast and crew.

She said he was always joking and would do things like put a whoopee cushion on a chair before someone sat down.

Arngrim also talked about how Landon was a great director and how he made the show a success.

She said that he could be tough on the cast and crew but that he always had their best interests at heart.
