Rapper Desiigner has been charged with indecent exposure after allegedly exposing himself and masturb@ting while on a flight.

The incident occurred on a Delta flight on April 17th.

Reports indicate that the rapper, whose real name is Sidney Royel Selby III, was travelling in the first-class section of the plane when the incident occurred.

“Mr. Selby removed his p-nis from his clothing and began masturbating, exposing himself to the victim and others passengers on the flight,” the criminal complaint notes.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota charged Desiigner with the misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure on an aircraft.

Two of his travel companions monitored him after he was moved to the back of the plane.

Prosecutors said that Selby was interviewed by an FBI agent after his flight landed at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Following the news of the incident, Desiigner posted a statement to his Instagram stories where he said he was “ashamed” and that he is seeking treatment.

“For the past few months, I have not been okay, and I have been struggling to come to terms with what is going on.

“While overseas for a concert I performed at, I had to be admitted to a hospital.

“I was not thinking clearly. They gave me meds, and I had to hop on a plane home.

“I am ashamed of my actions that happened on that plane.

“I landed back to the states, … am admitting myself in a facility to help me,” he wrote.

Desiigner’s attorney, Ian Galloway, said in a statement that the rapper “has begun counseling” and “is committed to reflecting on his behavior.” He added that “we will address the government’s allegations,” but did not provide any additional details.

If convicted, Desiigner could face up to one year in prison and a $100,000 fine.

The rapper has had several run-ins with the law in the past, including an arrest for drug and weapon charges in New York City in 2016.

Desiigner rose to fame with his hit song “Panda” in 2016, which peaked at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

He has since released multiple albums and collaborated with several high-profile artists.

The incident has sparked a debate about the need for stricter laws on indecent exposure on flights.

The Association of Flight Attendants-CWA, a union that represents over 50,000 flight attendants in the US, has called for stronger legislation to protect flight attendants and passengers from such incidents.

“Air travel is a unique environment and it requires unique laws to protect the safety and security of passengers and crew,” the union said in a statement.

“We must strengthen the laws that protect passengers and crew from these offenses in the air, and ensure that law enforcement has the tools necessary to deter and prosecute these crimes.”
