Christina Hendricks reacts to s-x symbol status

Actress Christina Hendricks has revealed that women tend to flirt more with her than men do, despite her s** symbol status.

The Mad Men star said on The View that she often finds women “flirtatious” with her when they approach her in public.

She also admitted that her now-famous strut on the show was not designed to be seductive.

Hendricks went on to say that she finds being labelled a s** symbol “silly”, but that it is nevertheless “incredibly flattering”.

She attributed her image to the stylish nature of Mad Men.

Co-host Sherri Shepherd praised Hendricks for her shapely form, which she described as an inspiration compared to the “little thin things” usually featured on the talk show.

When asked whether she had ever been approached by Playboy, the actress said that she hadn’t been asked, or that no one had told her if they had.

However, she failed to mention that she had already appeared in the magazine, posing in a skimpy bikini for a 1999 photoshoot that was later shared on Twitter.

Hendricks has been married to actor Geoffrey Arend since 2009.

Despite her s** symbol status, she says that most people don’t recognise her outside of Mad Men.

Speaking about the attention she receives from women, the actress said that it was funny, and that she found it easier to get along with men.

She also revealed that she is a keen knitter and that she uses the hobby to relax between filming schedules.

Mad Men became a cultural phenomenon during its seven-season run from 2007 to 2015.

Hendricks played office manager Joan Holloway throughout the series, earning six Emmy nominations for her performance.

She has also appeared in a number of films, including Drive and The Neon Demon.

In 2010, Hendricks was named the Sexiest Woman Alive by Esquire Magazine, a title previously held by the likes of Halle Berry and Angelina Jolie.

Despite her sultry on-screen persona, Hendricks has always been keen to play down her s** symbol status.

Speaking to The Daily Mail in 2012, she said: “I don’t want to be pigeonholed.

I don’t want to only be the sultry one.

I feel like it’s important to always keep them guessing about what you’re going to do next.”

Hendricks is currently starring in the NBC crime drama Good Girls, which premiered in 2018.

She plays Beth Boland, a suburban mother who turns to a life of crime in order to provide for her family.
