Isabel May enjoyed her first s** scene

Isabel May has been catapulted into the limelight with her breakthrough role as Elsa Dutton in the TV series ‘1883’, which also marked her first s** scene.

Previously known for her work on shows like ‘Young Sheldon’ and ‘Alexa & Katie’, ‘1883’ showcased May’s talent as a strong 19th century woman who had to toughen up for the journey ahead.

But the show also required her to portray Elsa’s many loves along the trail.

In an interview on The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast on April 14, May shared her experience of filming a passionate s** scene with Eric Nelson, who plays cowboy Ennis.

The scene was so intense that she was later told the whole camp could hear her.

However, May found it to be quite fun.

“Her s** scene, because it was my first one, I remember I was kind of going, ‘Well, I wonder what this entails?’” May said on Awards Chatter.

“Eric, who plays Ennis, was a little nervous about it.

It was his first time ever doing a s** scene as well.

We just kind of walked through it moment by moment with Taylor [Sheridan].

Taylor actually handled it really well.

He just walked us through it.

‘Let’s just rip the band aid off.

This is what we gotta do.’”

Although it was still nerve-wracking for May, she had the support of the director Taylor Sheridan and her co-star Eric Nelson, which made it easier for her to film the scene.

“And then when we were doing it, we were trying not to laugh the whole time,” May said.

“It was kind of really funny.

That was probably one of the easier scenes that I’ve done.

I loved it.

You know what I mean.

I was glad that it was done when it was done, but while we were doing it, it was not as awkward as I thought it would be.”

May also revealed the story of how she auditioned for The Mayor of Kingstown to play Iris, a role that ultimately went to Emma Laird.

However, Sheridan was so impressed with May’s performance that he created the character of Emma Dutton specifically for her.

May had initially declined the role of Iris as she felt it required something she wasn’t ready to give away at the time.

“Deep down I didn’t want that role,” May said.

“It required something that I didn’t want to give away and I was too young.

I was 20.

I’m 21 now so not that much time has gone by but still.

When it came to the n^dty and so on and so forth, it was way too early.

But I loved what it required emotionally.

There’s something about giving that away to an audience that’s really appealing to me.

I don’t know why, being vulnerable like that on screen.”

‘1883’ is a prequel to the popular series ‘Yellowstone’, and follows the Dutton family as they journey west in search of a new home.

Along the way, they encounter many challenges and hardships, including attacks from bandits and hostile Native American tribes.

The show stars Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and LaMonica Garrett, among others.

May’s portrayal of Elsa has earned her critical acclaim and has cemented her place as one of Hollywood’s up-and-coming talents.

With her breakthrough role in ‘1883’, May has proven that she is not afraid to take on challenging roles and explore the emotional depths of her characters.

Fans are eagerly anticipating her next project, and there is no doubt that she will continue to make waves in the entertainment industry.
