Olivia Munn broke down during ‘Playboy’ shoot

Olivia Munn, a prominent actor known for her roles in Deliver Us From Evil, X-Men: Apocalypse, and The Lego Ninjago Movie, recently revealed her experience during her Playboy photo shoot.

It was supposed to be a great opportunity to be on the cover of Playboy but what she experienced during the shoot made her want to “break down crying.”

In 2009, while working as a host for the gaming network G4, Munn was approached by Playboy for a photo shoot.

However, things didn’t go as smoothly as planned.

Initially, the magazine wanted her to pose nude, but Munn declined.

Fortunately, after negotiations, they agreed that she did not need to take her clothes off.

Munn detailed in her book Suck It, Wonder Woman how her publicist had negotiated a “no pink” contract with the magazine.

This meant that underboob was permitted, but there could be no areola visible.

Furthermore, only side b–b was allowed, and no n^dty was to be involved.

Before the shoot, Munn had multiple conversations with the photographer and stylist to make sure that everyone was on the same page.

However, upon arriving at the shoot, there were different opinions about how much n^dty should be involved.

The stylist wanted Munn to wear a black, fishnet, one-piece bathing suit that showed everything.

Meanwhile, the photographer insisted that Munn should pose nude, but with her arms and legs strategically placed or covered by bath bubbles.

They believed that because it was Playboy, n^dty was expected.

Throughout the shoot, Munn’s publicist argued with the stylist and photographer.

Munn tried to keep her composure and didn’t want to ruin the shoot by speaking up and yelling at them.

She shared that getting the cover without having to be n^de was a huge deal to her and her team.

Only a few people have done it without having to take their clothes off, and everyone had a different agenda.

The stylist eventually agreed to follow Munn’s and her publicist’s ideas, and the shoot finally wrapped up successfully.

However, after the shoot, Munn felt mentally and physically exhausted.

She kept smiling, but deep down, she wanted to break down crying.

Despite feeling comfortable and s**y in front of the camera, the experience was not easy for her.

Unfortunately, after the shoot, the photographer contacted Munn with a request to reshoot.

He didn’t think that they had the cover shot and wanted to try again the following week.

Playboy and Munn’s publicist agreed, but this time around, Munn insisted on bringing her own stylist, agreed on a shooting date, and mentally prepared herself to avoid eating any sweet treats for another week.

In conclusion, Munn’s experience during her Playboy shoot was not what she had hoped for.

Her story sheds light on the pressure that women face in the entertainment industry to show more skin.

Nonetheless, Munn’s strength and determination allowed her to stand her ground and protect her values.
