When Jake Gyllenhaal Tried To Help Anne Hathaway Prep For A S*x Scene: “I Always Feel Like It’s My Responsibility To Kind Of Protect Her”

Actors and actresses often find it challenging to shoot bold scenes in movies, which may appear steamy and s**y on the screen.

However, the reality is very different, and actors have to work hard to make it look good.

In a recent interview, actor Jake Gyllenhaal revealed his experience of filming a bold scene with Anne Hathaway for the movie Love and Other Drugs.

Love and Other Drugs is a romantic comedy-drama film that was released in 2010.

The movie was directed by Edward Zwick and co-written by him as well.

It featured a raunchy s** scene between Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway.

While talking with HollywoodLife, Jake shared his experience of shooting the unstimulated s** scene.

According to Jake, s** scenes can be naturally awkward for actors.

Moreover, when an actress is on the set, dealing with a majority of men, it becomes the actor’s responsibility to ensure that she feels comfortable.

He added that female actresses are usually objectified on the sets of movies; hence, it is crucial to protect them.

Jake stated that he always tried to make Anne feel comfortable during the filming of the s** scene.

He would ask her where she wanted him to go, what she wanted him to do, and what she felt comfortable doing.

However, Anne was always comfortable on her own and told Jake to do his thing while she did hers.

This wasn’t the first time that Jake and Anne had worked together on such intense scenes.

They had previously worked together in the 2005 film Brokeback Mountain, where they had a s** scene.

Jake said that he had to resist his feelings for Anne in the last movie, but this time he could go for it.

Jake further added that the movie Love and Other Drugs had all types of love, including romantic, familial, and friendship.

He learned that making a movie, particularly a love story, requires falling in love with everyone involved in the process.

He fell in love with Anne and Ed Zwick in some ways, and what they shared as a result was really special.

In conclusion, shooting s** scenes is not as easy as it may appear on-screen.

Actors have to work hard to make it look good, and it’s essential to protect actresses from being objectified.

Jake Gyllenhaal’s experience of filming the s** scene in Love and Other Drugs with Anne Hathaway sheds light on the challenges actors face during such scenes.
