This Actually Happened: A n^ked Man in a Glass Box Crashed the Met Gala

The 2017 Met Gala hosted a lot of celebrities dressed in stunning outfits, but one uninvited guest made headlines by showing up completely n^ked.

Performance artist Fyodor Pavlov-Andreevich, 41, was arrested after arriving at the event coiled up inside a clear fiberglass box.

The artist was unloaded out of a black SUV and carried into the entrance area by two casually dressed men.

He was then placed on the ground, as onlookers in ballgowns and tuxedos looked on with a mixture of shock, horror, and “But is it art?”

expressions.

Photographer Lavoisier Clemente captured footage of the incident, showing security personnel covering the box with a white sheet and dragging it away with two handy stirrups while guests giggled around them.

Clemente continued to film the reactions of the guests, most of whom seemed both amused and weirded out by this piece of “performance art.”

Firefighters were then forced to cut open the box, whose lid was screwed shut.

Pavlov-Andreevich is now facing charges of public lewdness, obstructing governmental administration, criminal trespass, and disorderly conduct.

His Instagram account confirms that he was arrested after performing the “the 5th episode of his Foundling series at Met Gala in New York last night.”

Pavlov-Andreevich’s Facebook post, however, indicated that he has since been released from prison, and seems to consider the performance piece a success.

This incident caused quite a stir and overshadowed the celebrities’ barely-there outfits.

The Met Gala is an annual fundraising event for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.

It is known for its high-profile guests and their creative and often elaborate ensembles that align with a specific theme.

The 2017 theme was “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garçons: Art of the In-Between,” honoring the Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo, founder of Comme des Garçons.

Pavlov-Andreevich’s stunt was not the first time artists have used n^dty as a form of protest or performance art.

In 2014, Ukrainian feminist group Femen staged a n^ked protest in front of the Eiffel Tower, and in 2016, artist Milo Moiré walked around fully n^de at Art Basel in Switzerland.

However, Pavlov-Andreevich’s performance was controversial because it was uninvited and disrupted an exclusive event.

He also faced charges for public lewdness, which is considered a crime in New York City.

The incident has sparked debates about the line between art and public indecency, and whether or not the Met Gala should be open to such performances.

Some argue that Pavlov-Andreevich’s actions were inappropriate and disrespectful to the event’s guests, while others defend his right to free expression as an artist.

Regardless of one’s opinion on the matter, there’s no denying that Pavlov-Andreevich’s stunt has captured the attention of the media and the public alike.

It remains to be seen whether or not he will face any legal consequences for his actions.

In conclusion, the 2017 Met Gala will always be remembered for the n^ked man in a glass box who crashed the event.

Despite the controversy surrounding his performance, Pavlov-Andreevich succeeded in drawing attention to himself and his art.

The incident has sparked important discussions about the intersection of art and public decency, and how far artists can go in their attempts to express themselves.
