Minka Kelly ‘didn’t feel comfortable’ filming n^de scenes

Actress Minka Kelly, 41, has revealed in a recent interview that she pushed back on filming a n^de scene during her first day on the set of “Euphoria.” The Emmy-winning drama had written the n^de scene for the second season of the show.

However, Kelly said she “didn’t feel comfortable” standing n^ked on the set.

She expressed her discomfort to the show’s writer and director, Sam Levinson, who was open to tweaking the scene to accommodate Kelly’s comfort levels.

During the scene, Kelly’s character, Samantha, returns home after a night out with her husband, and Maddy (Alexa Demie) helps her unzip her gown.

Levinson thought it would be more interesting if Kelly’s dress fell to the ground.

Kelly suggested keeping her dress on and Levinson agreed without hesitation.

The shot turned out to be a beautiful scene that achieved the desired effect.

Minka Kelly is not the only “Euphoria” star to voice discomfort over n^de scenes.

Sydney Sweeney, who has filmed her fair share of n^de scenes for the HBO series in the past, has also spoken about her experience.

She revealed that she asked Levinson to cut some of the scenes where her character, Cassie, was supposed to be shirtless, stating that she didn’t think it was necessary.

Levinson was receptive to her requests, and she never felt pushed into doing anything she wasn’t comfortable with.

In fact, “Euphoria” has an intimacy coordinator on set, whose job is to assist the cast with X-rated scenes.

Zendaya, who portrays Rue, posted a disclaimer on Instagram ahead of the season 2 premiere in January, reminding fans that the show is for “mature audiences.”

She warned that the season is deeply emotional and deals with subject matter that can be triggering and difficult to watch.

She urged viewers to watch only if they felt comfortable and to take care of themselves, adding that either way, they are still loved.

“Euphoria” has been praised for its honest depiction of the struggles young people face.

It explores themes such as addiction, identity, sexuality, and trauma, making it a groundbreaking show that tackles topics that are not usually discussed in mainstream media.

However, this has also led to some controversy, with some critics calling it “exploitative” and “borderline pornographic.”
Despite the mixed reactions, “Euphoria” has gained a loyal fanbase and critical acclaim.

The show has won several awards, including the Emmy for Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic).

Levinson is already working on a third season of the show, which has been renewed by HBO.

It is essential to note that actors’ comfort levels and boundaries should always be respected, and they should never be forced to do anything they don’t want to do.

It’s refreshing to see that “Euphoria” takes this seriously and has measures in place to ensure actors’ safety and comfort.

As for Minka Kelly, she was happy to work on the show, but only on her own terms, and she’s not alone in that.
