Kandi Burruss pressured castmates to wear vibrating panties

Kandi Burruss, a cast member on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” has come under fire for pressuring her co-stars to wear vibrating underwear during a night out in New York City.

On the latest episode of the show, Burruss suggested that the group wear the lingerie as they headed to see “Thoughts of a Colored Man,” a Broadway play that explores the lives of seven men living in Brooklyn.

While some of her castmates were enthusiastic about the idea, others weren’t comfortable with it and declined to participate.

Fans of the show have criticized Burruss for not respecting the boundaries of her co-stars.

One viewer tweeted, “I still don’t understand why Kandi want the women wearing vibrating panties to a play about black mens trauma #RHOA.”

Another added, “Kandi wanted the girls wearing her vibrating panties at her showcase?

Yeah, it’s getting weird Kandi, we need to draw the line somewhere… #RHOA.”

Others have expressed concern that Burruss is being predatory by pressuring her castmates to engage in s**ual behavior they are uncomfortable with.

“I feel like Kandi should respect people when they tell her that the s** stuff is too much instead of shaming them for not being as open is she is.

The ‘loosen up’ ‘you need some play’ rebuttal [sic] every time someone expresses their discomfort is borderline predatory.

Idc #RHOA,” one fan wrote.

Several fans have sided with Marlo Hampton and Kenya Moore, who chose not to wear the vibrating underwear in a group environment with other women’s husbands around.

“I’m not going to wear vibrating panties around other people’s men,” Moore said in a confessional.

“My vajayjay is closed for business on this trip.”

Burruss defended her behavior on Twitter, saying that she intended for the vibrating underwear to be a “funny way to stop folks from arguing” throughout the evening.

“I told them not to use it while we were in the play of course,” Burruss tweeted on Sunday.

“The game was supposed to be- anytime someone said something shady or started arguing then you hit the remote for the vibration to start.

It was supposed to be a funny way to stop folks from arguing.

#RHOA”

This controversy has sparked a larger conversation about boundaries and consent, particularly in the context of reality TV shows.

While some viewers may find this kind of behavior entertaining, others argue that it is inappropriate and potentially harmful.

As the debate continues, it remains to be seen how the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” will respond to this latest drama.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” airs Sundays at 8 p.m.

ET on Bravo.
