Ben Affleck and Blake Lively Shot a s** Scene on Day 1 of Filming ‘The Town’

Blake Lively and Ben Affleck are two of Hollywood’s most recognisable actors, and their collaboration on the hit movie The Town was a momentous occasion.

However, it appears that Lively was caught off guard by the early onset of one of the more intimate scenes in the film.

Lively portrayed Krista, the ex-girlfriend of Doug (played by Affleck), who also directed and co-wrote the movie.

In one scene, the two characters engage in a s**ual act that required both Lively and Affleck to act out.

While filming a s** scene in a movie is nothing new, Lively was surprised to learn that she would be shooting such a scene on the first day of filming.

She admitted that she had expected it to happen later on in production and was therefore taken aback by how quickly it came about.

Despite this, Lively took the experience in stride, joking that it was a good way to break the ice.

She did, however, find the situation somewhat uncomfortable, given the suddenness of it all.

Nevertheless, the two actors remained friendly and complimentary towards each other throughout filming and beyond.

In a recent BuzzFeed article, it was highlighted that filming a s** scene is not as easy as it may seem.

Historically, these scenes have been problematic for actors, particularly women.

However, sensitivity around such scenes has improved over time, and it is encouraging that Lively’s only issue with the scene was that it came so early in production.

The Town is a crime thriller about a group of bank robbers based in Boston.

The four men, who have been friends since childhood, commit heists in connection with the Irish mob.

During one of these heists, they take a bank teller hostage but ultimately release her unharmed.

Doug, played by Affleck, starts a relationship with the teller, Claire (played by Rebecca Hall), after the incident.

What follows is a harrowing tale that tests their relationship, loyalties, and morality.

With the FBI hot on their trail and Doug’s friends pressuring him to keep robbing, he must decide what truly matters and what he can do to make it out alive and free.

The Town was Affleck’s second feature film as a director, and he took his responsibilities seriously.

Inspired by his own Irish heritage, he did a considerable amount of research into Boston’s Charlestown neighbourhood.

His efforts paid off, resulting in the film winning National Film Review awards for one of the top 10 films and best performance by an ensemble cast, among others.

Lively may have had a minor role in The Town, but her performance was noteworthy.

She is perhaps best known for her leading role as Serena in all six seasons of Gossip Girl.

However, she has also appeared in several major films, including The Shallows and The Rhythm Section.

Notably, she played Carol Ferris in Green Lantern, a box office bomb that starred her future husband, Ryan Reynolds.

The two credit the film as being the start of their relationship.

Most recently, Lively made her directorial debut with the music video for Taylor Swift’s “I Bet You Think About Me,” which she co-wrote and produced.

In conclusion, the onset of the s** scene in The Town may have surprised Lively, but it did not diminish her performance or her contributions to the film.

As a result of the efforts of both Lively and Affleck, The Town was a critical and commercial success, further cementing their status as two of Hollywood’s most talented actors.
