Selena Gomez obtained her new piercing while out with her friends.

The star of The Only Murders in the Building had a cartilage piercing, which her friends filmed for TikTok.

After their goal to find a Build-A-Bear within the mall went wrong, the Rare Beauty founder and her friends decided to stop in and get a few piercings. Selena briefly showed off her new helix artwork in a TikTok video posted by her buddies GirlPool (rock band members Avery Tucker and Harmony Tividad) on September 14.

Gomez and her friends couldn’t find the Build-a-Bear store when they arrived at a mall less than 30 minutes before it closed. The group then made the hasty decision to have body piercings instead.

Selena Gomez had a helix piercing, which she flaunted on Girlpool’s TikTok on Tuesday, and a belly button ring was given to one of her pals.

Gomez can be seen sitting peacefully in a studio chair getting her ear cartilage pierced.

After she was finished, the “Baila Connmigo” singer made it official by shooting a photo with her body piercer and writing “Got something! Right here” in the caption.

The singer debuted her smallest new little hoop after one of her friends quipped that she was the only one who got something from the body piercing store. Fans, unsurprisingly, remarked on how delighted they are with the musician’s recent beauty move.

“Omg Selena has a piercing,” one fan said, expressing their delight and surprise. “Friends who get piercings together, stay together,” said another, emphasizing the evening’s beautiful moments. “This is everything I need in a friend group and more,” said another user, expressing how we all felt when viewing the movie.

Gomez has been uploading a lot on TikTok recently, including videos of her dancing with her sister, some voiceover fun, and a video of herself napping with a message that laughs about her latest Hulu program, Only Murders In The Building, calling it “Only Naps in the Building.”

Despite having two holes in each earlobe, Selena Gomez appears to prefer tattoos than piercings, since she has at least 15 distinct themes inked on her body.

Several of her tattoos have religious undertones, such as the cross on her collarbone and the prayer hands on her thigh. “LXXVI” on her neck and the number 1 on her ribcage are honours to family members and friends.

Gomez loves to sneak in a nap when it comes to finding a second to recharge.

“A nap is my best bet, not gonna lie,” she told PEOPLE about her favorite approach to exercise self-care. “Taking a nap when I’m feeling a little low is nice because I feel like I can start over.”

This wouldn’t be the first time Selena’s fans have gone crazy over a change in her look this year. The “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know” singer changed things up again in late April when she unveiled a platinum blonde ‘do, almost four years after she originally did so.

“New look,” she captioned a photo of herself taking a mirror selfie on her Rare Beauty Facebook on April 23. “Need to pick new Rare Beauty lip and blush shades now.”

“I had the best time. I felt like I could do crazy things with my hair or try new looks with my makeup. It was just so much fun … I felt so cool and edgy,” she said of the lavish color job.

While she’s now returned to her brunette hair, it’s safe to assume she’s not finished playing with her appearance.
