Christina Ricci stars in Chris Sivertson creature feature Monstrous
Monstrous has released a new trailer. The movie will have its worldwide premiere at FrightFest. FrightFest will take place from March 10 to 12 and will include the world premieres of 12 new horror flicks.
Carol Chrest (The Prophet’s Game) wrote Monstrous, and is about:
Laura (Christina Ricci), scarred by a violent relationship, ultimately flees with her seven-year-old son Cody from her former husband. However, they soon discover that they are up against another, larger, and more dangerous creature in their new, beautiful, and distant haven… one that will put both of their mental health issues to the test.
It appears to be a fun horror film, and I enjoy Christina Ricci’s work. It doesn’t appear to be revolutionary in any way, though.
Director Chris Sivertson said, “Carol Chrest created an iconic genre character who Christina Ricci brings to life in a mesmerizing and deeply emotional performance.”
