“He was trying to f*ck me” – Kate Winslet felt uncomfortable during Titanic audition

When it comes to the 1997 film Titanic, it is impossible to think of anyone other than Leonardo DiCaprio playing the character of Jack Dawson.

However, that wasn’t always the case.

The actress who played Rose, Kate Winslet, recently revealed that there was another actor who auditioned for the role of Jack, and he made her feel uncomfortable.

During an interview with Josh Horowitz, Winslet shared that an unremembered actor, whose name she couldn’t quite remember, had tried to ruin her chances of getting the part of Rose.

The actor in question had spent the entire day before auditioning with a few other actors and threw out their names to make Winslet feel inferior.

She stated, “He was completely trying to f*ck me up. And I was like, ‘mmhmm, yeah, mmhm.’”

Winslet continued by saying that she would never do such a thing to another actor and she was convinced this actor wouldn’t get the role.

She stated, “You’re not gonna get this part. He was just way too pleased with himself.”

While Winslet couldn’t recall the name of the actor, she did mention that he was not well-known in today’s world.

When Horowitz suggested Jeremy Sisto’s name, Winslet responded by saying she wasn’t sure but he might have been the one.

Despite this negative experience, Winslet had only positive things to say about her co-star, Leonardo DiCaprio.

She described him as the “leading actor of his generation” and praised his commitment and hard work.

She also talked fondly about their friendship, stating that they could push each other’s buttons.

Winslet and DiCaprio’s chemistry in Titanic was undeniable, which made the film the success it is today.

The film made $2.2 billion at the box office and even became a part of the National Film Registry.

Winslet’s revelation about the negative experience she had with another actor during the audition process is an example of how toxic the film industry can be.

It is important for actors to support each other and avoid playing mind games that could potentially ruin someone’s chance at a role.

Chemistry between actors is essential for any film to succeed.

Titanic’s success was only possible because Winslet and DiCaprio’s chemistry was so strong that it made the audience fall in love with their characters.
