Jessica Biel regrets dressing sexy when younger

Jessica Biel, 36, has recently spoken out about her past fashion choices, admitting that she regrets showing off her body too much in her younger years.

The actress, who first rose to fame playing the role of Mary Camden on the TV show 7th Heaven, revealed in an interview within Style that she struggled with her fashion sense when she first became famous because she had always been a tomboy in her youth.

“It took me a minute to get into those types of womanly things, like bags and shoes, but in my early 20s a light bulb went off and I was like, ‘Oh, I get it now,’” Biel said.

Despite her refined red carpet style today, Biel revealed that she is not a fan of her fashion choices from high-profile events earlier in her career.

“I wish I would’ve explored some different shapes, and not gone so sexy all the time,” she said.

“I think if you look at some of my earlier choices, maybe it didn’t need to always be about the body.

I know it’s a vibe that you feel when you’re young, but still that’s what I would’ve done a little differently.”

Biel, who is now married to musician Justin Timberlake, often prefers a more casual look in her day-to-day life.

“I just wear jeans, a T-shirt, and sneakers. My hair is in a bun, and I don’t wear much makeup,” she said.

Despite her preference for casual clothing, Biel is known for her impeccable sense of style on the red carpet.

In recent years, she has opted for more modest looks, such as the white Ralph & Russo gown she wore to the 2018 Emmys, which featured a high neckline and long sleeves.

“I think I’m way more comfortable because I have more of a sense of who I am,” Biel said of her style evolution. “I think fashion can be such an expression of your own sense of self and your own confidence.”

Biel’s comments come at a time when many women in Hollywood are speaking out about the pressure they feel to conform to certain beauty standards.

In recent years, there has been a growing movement towards body positivity and inclusivity in the entertainment industry.

“I think we’re in a really cool time for women,” Biel said. “We’re taking ownership of our own bodies, our own selves, our own sexuality. We’re not just objects anymore.”

Biel’s comments also highlight the evolution of her career.

Since her days on 7th Heaven, Biel has become a respected actress and producer, starring in hit TV shows such as The Sinner and producing movies like The Book of Love.

“I think I’m in a really cool place in my career where I can just choose things that I really love and that are important to me,” Biel said. “I feel like I’m getting to be more selective, which is great.”

Biel’s career has been marked by a willingness to take risks and push boundaries.

In 2017, she starred in the USA Network series The Sinner, which was praised for its dark and complex storytelling. Biel also executive produced the show, which earned her a nomination for a Primetime Emmy Award.

“I’ve been so lucky to work on projects that have really challenged me and allowed me to explore different parts of myself,” Biel said. “I’m really excited to see where my career takes me next.”

As for her fashion choices, Biel is embracing her more refined sense of style and using it to express her own sense of self. “I think fashion can be such a fun way to play with who you are and what you want to say,” she said. “It’s all about finding what makes you feel confident and comfortable.”
